Thanks to the support of the FFG’s TEC-Connect program, DigiTrans GmbH, together with its partners PBX GmbH and TECOB Consulting e.U., was able to launch the ambitious project AURORA – Automated Refrigerated Zero Emission Logistic Operations. Over a period of 27 months, the team worked on a scalable, automated refrigerated logistics solution that combines zero-emission technologies, autonomous driving functions, and innovative simulation techniques – designed for use in Austria and in Jiangsu Province, China.
This funding has been crucial in overcoming technological challenges, such as integrating refrigerated electric vehicles into complex distribution networks and developing digital twins to validate safety and efficiency. With AURORA, the project not only contributes to reducing logistics emissions but also paves the way for supply chains that are reliable, cost-efficient, and environmentally friendly.
